Marco OTT Release: Unni Mukundan's Hindi Action Thriller Set For Streaming On Netflix Soon

Marco OTT Release (Hindi): The film Marco, featuring Unni Mukundan, emerged as a significant Malayalam release in 2024. Released on December 20, it was available in both Malayalam and Hindi. Directed by Haneed Adeni, this action thriller is noted for its intense violence. Besides Unni Mukundan, the cast includes Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, and Yukti Tareja.

The film has generated considerable buzz and sparked diverse opinions. Its impressive cast, engaging trailer, and performances have captured attention. According to Mathrubhumi's report, Netflix acquired the digital rights for Marco's Hindi version. A tweet suggested that the film would premiere on OTT about 45 days after its theatrical debut. Since Marco hit theatres on December 20, its OTT release might occur by late January or February. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.

In an interview with Red FM Malayalam, producer Shareef Muhammed addressed the film's violent content: "The Censor team has not fully cut down the violence. They have only reduced the brutality. All violent scenes will have a varying range of brutality. And whenever the brutality was high, the Censor Board recommended to reduce it. It was more brutal, in some scenes. But that the Censor cut as it is against their rules"

Marco maintained a steady presence at the box office during its second week. On day 11 (second Monday), it earned Rs 55 lakhs in the Hindi market. The following day saw an increase to Rs 60 lakhs on New Year's Eve (day 12). This brought its total collection to Rs 3.13 crores.

The anticipation for Marco's OTT release continues to grow among fans eager to watch it online. With Netflix securing its digital rights for Hindi viewers, excitement builds as audiences await further announcements regarding its streaming debut.
