Marco Hindi Box Office Collection Day 26: Did Unni Mukundan's Film Perform Well On Sankranti?
The Hindi version of "Marco," starring Unni Mukundan, has seen a slowdown at the box office due to reduced screens. Directed by Haneef Adeni, this Malayalam-language action film is facing stiff competition from other recent releases in various languages. Despite the Makar Sankranti holiday, which was expected to boost numbers, the Hindi-dubbed version's performance remains under scrutiny.
Released on 20th December 2024, "Marco" features a cast including Yukti Thareja, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Jagadish. Initially, it had a lukewarm response but later gained traction among North Indian audiences. The film is a standalone spinoff of the 2019 movie 'Michael.' As it approached its fifth week, there was a slight increase in viewership.

On the Makar Sankranti holiday, "Marco" experienced an 18.42% increase in collections as reported by Sacnilk. The Hindi version earned approximately Rs 30 lakhs on that day, while the Malayalam version brought in around Rs 13 lakh. In total, the film's nett collection stands at Rs 12.41 crore for Hindi and Rs 59.68 crore across all languages over 26 days.
The weekly earnings for the Hindi version are as follows: Week 1 saw ₹0.28 crore; Week 2 collected ₹4.6 crore; Week 3 brought in ₹5.92 crore; Day 22 (4th Friday) earned ₹0.23 crore; Day 23 (4th Saturday) made ₹0.42 crore; Day 24 (4th Sunday) gathered ₹0.43 crore; Day 25 (4th Monday) earned ₹0.23 crore; and Day 26 (4th Tuesday) added ₹0.30 crore to the total.
"Marco," known for its intense action sequences, has become a sleeper hit in Hindi-speaking regions despite its modest start. With a production budget reportedly around Rs 30 crore, it has already recouped its costs through box office earnings. The current trend suggests that the film is on track to reach Rs 15 crore in lifetime collections for its Hindi version.
The movie's steady performance indicates potential for closing its theatrical run with significant earnings in the Hindi market.
