Manushi Chhillar Addresses Age Gap Criticism With Co-star Akshay Kumar

Manushi Chhillar, a name that resonates with beauty and talent, has swiftly made her mark in Bollywood, following her illustrious win at the Miss World pageant. Her transition from the pageant world to the Indian film industry has been seamless, with her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Samrat Prithviraj drawing significant attention. However, this pairing sparked discussions due to the three-decade age difference between the co-stars. Recently, Chhillar has been cast alongside Kumar once again in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, reigniting the conversation around their age gap.

Addressing the topic head-on, Chhillar shared her perspective on working with one of Bollywood's biggest stars. She emphasized the professional aspect of their association, stating, "Working with a superstar is good. You get a certain amount of visibility. If I talk about my first film, there was an age gap. They wanted to play the whole thing. In this film, there was no pairing." She further clarified that their collaboration for songs was purely for marketing purposes and not indicative of a romantic storyline.

Chhillar Talks Age Gap with Kumar

Chhillar's comments have effectively put an end to the debate surrounding her casting opposite Kumar. She views the opportunity as a positive experience that has not been marred by controversy or negativity. "We did songs for marketing. There had to be a way to put two people together for the songs, but that's pretty much it, which is fine. I don't see it as something that was atrocious or something that shouldn't have been there. It wasn't like a love story anyway," she explained.

Born in Rohtak and having pursued an MBBS degree at Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat, Chhillar's journey to Bollywood is nothing short of inspirational. After clinching the titles of Miss India and Miss World, she ventured into acting with notable enthusiasm and dedication. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan marks her third film in the industry, where she essays the role of Captain Misha. Additionally, she is gearing up for her role in Pawan Gopalan's political action-thriller Tehran alongside John Abraham and Neeru Bajwa.

Chhillar's approach to her career in Bollywood demonstrates a mature understanding of the industry's dynamics and an unwavering focus on her craft. Her ability to navigate discussions around sensitive topics like age differences with grace and professionalism speaks volumes about her character and determination as an actress.
