Manoj Bajpayee Explores Cultural Roots Behind South Indian Cinema's Pan-India Success
Manoj Bajpayee On South Films: Versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee is gearing up for the release of his next film titled Bhaiyya Ji, marking a significant milestone in his career as it will be his 100th big screen project. Yes, you read that right! Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, who earlier directed Bajpayee in the 2023 critical hit Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, the film is making the right kind of noise and fans are now eagerly awaiting its release.
Manoj Bajpayee, currently busy promoting his upcoming film Bhaiyya Ji, recently shared his thoughts on the success of South Indian films across India while Bollywood films are currently struggling to perform at the box office.

The actor attributed their success to cultural authenticity. He explained, "If we are to get past this phase we should go back to our stories. Stories should be rooted in our world, and the hero has to represent the people of the country. I believe this is why south Indian films are working; their emotions are pure, they are rooted in our culture and people relate to the protagonist's fight."
He added, "Our films are set in urban areas and most of these characters are alien to the country's masses."
The film's story revolves around feared and retired criminal Bhaiyya Ji (played by Manoj Bajpayee) setting out to seek justice against the powerful Gujjar responsible for his younger brother's tragic death. He ignites a wave of vengeance that threatens to shake the criminal underworld.
Also featuring Zoya Hussain, Suvinder Vicky, and Vipin Sharma in pivotal characters, Bhaiyya Ji is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 24. Written by Deepak Kingrani, Bhaiyya Ji is presented by Manoj Bajpayee, Bhanushali Studios Limited, and SSO Productions in association with Aurega Studios.
