MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024 Opens Call For Entries From South Asian And International Filmmakers

National, May 15, 2024: The Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) Mumbai Film Festival is now accepting film submissions from South Asian, South Asian Diaspora, and International filmmakers for its 2024 edition. Recognised as one of the world's leading South Asian Film Festivals, MAMI aims to foster new cinematic voices and facilitate the exchange of ideas and business opportunities. The festival will take place from October 19 to 24, 2024, in Mumbai. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit their films via MAMI's official website by the early bird deadline of May 31, 2024.

Building on the success of previous editions, MAMI Mumbai Film Festival continues to support an ecosystem that highlights the talent and films of South Asia and the South Asian Diaspora. The festival remains committed to amplifying emerging and established independent cinematic voices while also nurturing the audience in India to watch cinema from a new perspective.

MAMI Mumbai Film Festival offers an exceptional opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work, connect with fellow creators, and expand their network globally. In addition to presenting world cinema's finest works, the festival will engage various stakeholders through masterclasses, discussions, workshops, and expert panels. South Asia Competition: This competitive section aims to showcase breakthrough contemporary South Asian films of the year. It is open only for feature-length films with a runtime of 60 minutes or more.

South Asia Non-Competition: This non-competitive section features both feature-length and short films by South Asian and South Asian Diaspora filmmakers. It highlights regional talent through diverse narratives and styles.

World Cinema: Since its inception in 1997, this segment has offered a panoramic view of ambitious new films from around the globe.
