On the morning of September 11, around 9 am, Malaika Arora's father reportedly took his own life. Later that day, Malaika shared a heartfelt post on Instagram expressing her sorrow over his passing. In her post, she wrote, "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend." She further added, "Our family is in deep shock by this loss and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time."

Recently, Malaika's alleged ex-boyfriend Arjun Kapoor was seen assisting her with avoiding paparazzi attention. He helped escort her to the car while photographers continued to capture the moment.
