Are you curious about who this actress is? Her name is Ritu Chaudhry, but she is better known as Mahima Chaudhry. Born on 13th September 1973 in Darjeeling to a Jatt father and a Nepali mother, Mahima made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Subash Ghai's 'Pardes' (1997). Before acting, she did several modelling assignments.

In 1999, Mahima faced a terrible car accident while shooting for Ajay Devgn-Kajol's film 'Dil Kya Kare'. On her way to Bengaluru for the shoot, a truck collided with her car, causing shards of glass to injure her face severely.
"I thought I was dying, and at that point, no one even helped me get to the hospital. It is only after reaching the hospital, much later, when my mother came, Ajay came and they went to discuss. I got up and saw my face in the mirror and saw the horror. When they did the surgery on me, they took out 67 glass pieces," she shared during an interview.
The 'Dil Hai Tumhara' actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. She underwent treatment and defeated cancer for her daughter. Within months, she became cancer-free and described her journey as a 'psychological battle' in a video shared by Anupam Kher.
