Madgaon Express Box Office Collection Stumbles On Day 9 Amid New Releases

Kunal Kemmu's directorial debut, Madgaon Express, has been navigating a challenging path at the box office. Despite the initial buzz created by the extended Holi weekend, the film's performance has been less than stellar, particularly in its second weekend. The release of Crew, featuring Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, significantly impacted Madgaon Express's earnings, leading to one of its lowest collection days on Day 9.

As per a recent report by Sanilk, the comedy caper managed to garner only Rs 1.25 crores on its ninth day (second Saturday), summing up its total collection to Rs 15.65 crores. This figure barely surpasses the 15 crore mark, a benchmark that many movies today achieve quite swiftly. With these numbers, it is projected that Madgaon Express might reach around 16 crores by the end of its second week, indicating a difficult journey ahead for the film.

The movie's overall occupancy on March 30 was recorded at 37.9%. The morning shows witnessed a low turnout with only about 14.4% occupancy in theaters. However, there was a slight improvement during the afternoon shows with an occupancy rate of 34.04%. The evening and night shows saw a further increase in attendance, recording overall occupancies of 41.78% and 61.35%, respectively.
