Maahi Opens Up About Comparisons With Father Shaan And His Musical Aspirations
All the 90s kids will start feeling old as now Shaan's son, Maahi, is all grown up and he has become a singer. A few months ago, his song "Sorry" was released, and a few weeks ago, his new track titled "Jaadugari" was launched. Maahi is only 18, but he is already leaving a strong mark with his voice, and this year, he also performed at the Cannes Film Festival.
Filmibeat recently interacted with Maahi, and when asked whether he feels pressure of being compared to his father Shaan, the singer said, "Comparison is very natural. A father-son comparison is one of the most common comparisons across history. So, obviously, people are going to make that comparison. But, I feel that because of that comparison, a lot of ears come to listen to the song."

"People are like, we have grown up listening to Shaan's voice, how does his son sound? Now, it's my job to work on my voice and my song, to keep them stay because to make them keep listening to it, is now up to me. So, that's my goal, so I can keep getting better and people want to listen to me," he added.
Further when asked which actor he would like to play back for, he said, "Nothing is better than being able to do it in your voice, so that's very big. But, I have been seeing Sidharth Malhotra's interviews, and he also has a deep voice. Another actor that I would love to sing for is obviously Ranbir Kapoor as I have grown up on his films."
With just two songs Maahi has mesmerised everyone with his voice. So, let's wait to listen to more songs from the singer and hope that he gets a chance to sing for Sidharth Malhotra and Ranbir Kapoor.
