Rajeev Siddhartha Discusses His Culinary Training At Farzi Cafe For Love, Sitara Role

Rajeev Siddhartha, known for his diverse acting skills, stars in the romantic drama 'Love, Sitara' alongside Sobhita Dhulipala. The film premiered on 27th September on ZEE5. Siddhartha shared insights into his preparation for the role, revealing how he improved his culinary skills to convincingly play a chef. He focused on mastering cutting and chopping techniques to bring authenticity to his character.

The actor recounted, "Our director Vandana Kataria gave me strict instructions to become proficient at cutting and chopping for 'Love, Sitara.' While shooting for another film, I would visit the hotel kitchen and practice these skills. Upon returning to India, thanks to RSVP and Vandana, I trained for a month and a half as a proxy head chef at Farzi Cafe."

Siddhartha's commitment to his role was evident as he immersed himself in learning culinary arts. He stated, "I focused intensely on learning to cut and chop because I lacked experience, having been in boarding school since I was five. I gave it my all, practicing even when I was at home. At Farzi Cafe, I immersed myself fully in the role. I would take orders, prepare food, and serve customers. Observing the staff's perfection and panache was an incredible learning experience."

'Love, Sitara,' directed by Vandana Kataria, follows Sitara, an interior designer played by Sobhita Dhulipala. The story unfolds as she visits her hometown with her boyfriend to strengthen their relationship. This journey becomes a path of self-discovery where hidden truths emerge, challenging their views on love and family.
