Kulhad Pizza Couple Appeals To Akal Takht Sahib For Ruling On Turban Controversy Amid Harassment Claims
The Kulhad Pizza couple, known for their viral video last year, is again in the spotlight. This time, they are seeking a decision from the Jathedar of the Akal Takht Sahib regarding a turban issue. The controversy began when Nihang Sikhs, a warrior community, urged them to stop making videos and insisted that Sehaj Arora should not remove his turban.
Recently, Sehaj Arora and Gurmeet Kaur were asked by the Nihang Sikhs to cease their video-making activities. The community viewed Sehaj's act of removing his turban as disrespectful. In response, the couple has appealed to the Akal Takht's religious head for a ruling on whether Sehaj should wear the turban. Sehaj expressed his desire for justice and protection from harassment in a video message.

In his plea, Sehaj stated, "Saanu baar baar is cheez ki harrasment na face karni pade," with his wife standing supportively beside him. He requested that if he was wrong, he should be punished by the Akal Takht Sahib; otherwise, he sought justice.
The Sikh community's dissatisfaction with the couple's return to social media has been evident. They have been vocal about their disapproval of Sehaj's actions concerning his turban. This ongoing issue highlights the cultural significance of the turban within the Sikh community and its importance as a symbol of respect.
The couple's request for intervention from religious authorities underscores their desire to resolve this matter amicably. By involving the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib, they hope to find clarity and peace amidst the controversy surrounding them.
