Kritika Kamra Set To Explore Mumbai's Gambling Era In 'Matka King'

Kritika Kamra, known for her role in "Bambai Meri Jaan," is set to star in the upcoming series "Matka King." Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Nagraj Manjule and produced by Roy Kapur Film for Amazon Prime Video, the series explores the Matka gambling phenomenon that was prominent in India from the 1960s to the 1990s.

"Matka King" focuses on the complex world of Matka gambling, which began in Mumbai. Vijay Varma plays the titular role, while Kritika Kamra takes on a significant part in this engaging narrative. Following her praised performance as a gangster in "Bambai Meri Jaan," Kritika is expected to deliver another standout role.

While the era and landscape may have similarity to the world of Bambai Meri Jaan, my character is nothing like Habiba. The only thing common is that they are impactful parts."
