Kriti Sanon Reveals Emotional Impact Of Breakdown Scene In Mimi During Podcast Interview
Kriti Sanon has been part of many major Bollywood films, delivering some of her best performances. Her role in the 2021 film "Mimi" stands out as particularly memorable. The movie, centred on a surrogate mother's journey, featured numerous emotional scenes. Recently, Kriti shared in a podcast how one breakdown scene deeply affected her, marking the first time she kept crying even after the director said "cut."
During a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, Kriti discussed the emotional demands of that scene. She explained that it required immense effort and emotional depth. "It is one of my most favourite shots of that film as an actor. In front of the mirror, when I put powder and then I throw everything, and then I go and I start tearing all the posters and all...It's a small scene but it requires a lot from within," she said.

Her portrayal in "Mimi" earned Kriti several accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics) and a nomination for Best Actress. Additionally, she won the National Award for Best Actress for her performance in this film. Her role as Mimi highlighted her acting range and reinforced her position among Bollywood's leading actresses.
Kriti further elaborated on her experience during that intense scene. She mentioned that something magical occurred while filming it. "Some magic happened in that shot and for the first time in my life, even after the 'cut', I kept crying, which I felt would never happen with me," she added.
