Khadaan Vs Shontaan: Box Office Collection Day 5 Shows Dev Leading Over Subhashree

The Bengali film industry is buzzing with excitement due to recent releases. Among these, 'Khadaan' and 'Shontaan' have captured significant attention. Both films, featuring Bengali superstars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly, premiered on 20th December. Their engaging storylines have impressed audiences, leading to a competitive box office showdown.

Soojit Dutta's action-thriller 'Khadaan', starring Dev, Jisshu Sengupta, Barkha Bisht, Idhika Paul, and Anirban Chakrabarty, has been well-received. The film marked Dev's return to the massy genre and opened with positive reviews. According to Sacnilk, it earned Rs 68 lakhs on its first day.

Thanks to favourable word-of-mouth, 'Khadaan' saw a significant rise over the weekend. It collected Rs 76 lakhs on Saturday and Rs 1.12 crore on Sunday. Although Monday's earnings dipped slightly to Rs 57 lakhs, the film maintained strong numbers. On Tuesday, it added Rs 54 lakhs to its total collection of Rs 3.67 crore in five days.

Day-wise earnings for 'Khadaan' are as follows:

'Shontaan', directed by Raj Chakrabarty and starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anashua Majumdar, Ritwick Chakraborty, and Subhashree Ganguly, began its journey with an opening of Rs 11 lakhs. Sacnilk reports that this emotional family drama earned Rs 18 lakhs on Saturday and Rs 31 lakhs on Sunday.

The film experienced a slight decline on Monday with earnings of Rs 12 lakhs but rebounded slightly on Tuesday with Rs 14 lakhs. Over five days, 'Shontaan' accumulated a total nett collection of Rs 86 lakhs.
