Khadaan Box Office Collection Day 9: Dev's Action-Drama Surpasses Bohurupi's Earnings
Tollywood actor Dev Adhikari is closing the year on a high note with his latest film successes. After 'Tekka' during Durga Pujo, his new film 'Khadaan' is making waves ahead of Christmas. Directed by Soojit Dutta, this Bengali action-drama released on 20th December 2024. It faced competition from Subhashree Ganguly's 'Shontaan' and Tota Roy Chowdhury's 'Chaalchitro'.
Featuring Dev and Jisshu Sengupta, 'Khadaan' also stars John Bhattacharya, Anirban Chakrabarty, Barkha Bisht, and Idhika Paul. The film is drawing large crowds in Bengal. Produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures and Surinder Films, it had a strong start at the box office. Sacnilk reported an opening of Rs 68 lakhs, with Rs 5.59 crore collected in its first week.

The movie saw a notable increase in earnings on Saturday, collecting approximately Rs 57 lakhs on its ninth day. This brings the total nine-day nett collection to Rs 6.62 crores. With a budget of Rs 6 crore, 'Khadaan' has already recouped its production costs through box office earnings.
Week 1 earnings were Rs 5.59 crore, while Day 8 (second Friday) brought in Rs 46 lakhs. On Day 9 (second Saturday), it earned Rs 57 lakhs. The total nett collection now stands at Rs 6.62 crores, with the total India gross collection reaching Rs 7.42 crores.
'Khadaan' is currently the second highest-grossing Bengali film this year. Although 'Bohurupi', starring Abir Chatterjee and Shiboprasad Mukherjee, holds the top spot, 'Khadaan' has surpassed its nine-day collection figures. Released during Durga Pujo, 'Bohurupi' earned around Rs 5.59 crore in nine days.
With the ongoing excitement surrounding 'Khadaan', it seems poised to overtake 'Bohurupi' and become the highest-grossing Bengali film ever.
