Kavitta Verma Discusses Overcoming Family Loss And Professional Setbacks With Resilience

Actress Kavitta Verma, known for her roles in films like Police Giri and R... Rajkumar, has faced significant personal and professional challenges over the past few years. Despite losing her entire family within five years, she describes herself as "bustling with fire" and enriched by these experiences. Her journey includes a series of losses that have shaped her resilience and outlook on life.

In 2015, while filming Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, Kavitta lost her sister. Although emotionally distressed, she continued working. Two years later, as the film was set to release, her mother passed away. This prompted her to pause her career to care for her father, who was left alone. She explained how these events forced her to reassess her priorities.

Kavitta Verma on Family Loss and Resilience

Kavitta's father moved in with her in Mumbai during a time when she was also dealing with a breakup. Her partner ended their relationship, believing she had too many responsibilities. In 2020, tragedy struck again when her father suffered a brain stroke and multiple organ failures, leading to his death. Within five years, Kavitta found herself without any immediate family.

Despite these hardships, Kavitta has emerged stronger. Her father's advice—"If you are having a bad day, I want my girl to get dressed the best she can"—has become a guiding principle for her. She believes that enduring life's extremes leads to discovering one's true potential. "I feel more enriched today," she stated.

Kavitta is eager to explore roles that challenge her creatively and allow her to step out of her comfort zone. A trained actor from NSD with nearly a decade in the industry, she still seeks the right opportunity for a breakthrough moment. "The fulfillment and satisfaction are missing," she admitted.

She expressed a desire to work with directors like Hansal Mehta and Anurag Kashyap, who might appreciate her raw appeal developed over time. Kavitta is keen on substance-oriented roles that offer depth and complexity.

Resilience Through Discipline

When asked about maintaining strength through adversity, Kavitta credited the discipline instilled by her upbringing as an army child. "When life gives you challenges, either you fight or you let go," she said, emphasizing that letting go is not an option for her.

Kavitta has learned valuable lessons from these experiences, including being cautious about whom to trust. She acknowledged that naivety once complicated her life but believes she's grown wiser and improved for the better.

"I am rising from the ashes," Kavitta concluded confidently, ready to embrace new opportunities with renewed strength and determination.
