Chandu Champion Hits 50Cr Milestone With Kartik Aaryan Leading The Charge

Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 11: Kartik Aaryan's latest film, Chandu Champion, has been a major topic of discussion this year. This movie is Kartik's first collaboration with Kabir Khan and is a sports biopic about India's first Paralympic gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. Notably, this is Kartik's debut in this genre, and his remarkable transformation has generated significant buzz.

Despite its initial slow start at the box office, Chandu Champion has managed to win over audiences. The film features Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles. The audience praised Kabir Khan's direction and Kartik's portrayal of the titular character. However, the movie opened with a modest collection of Rs 4.75 crores on its first day and struggled during its initial week.

The film saw a notable increase in collections during its second weekend. According to Sacnilk, Chandu Champion earned Rs 4.85 crores on the ninth day (second Saturday) and Rs 6.5 crores on the tenth day (second Sunday), surpassing its opening day earnings. However, there was a significant drop of 73% on the eleventh day (second Monday), with collections amounting to Rs 1.75 crores.

Kabir Khan recently addressed the film's slow start in an interview with Times Now. He said, "The slow start did throw us off balance. But luckily, the word-of-mouth was positive. Let's see how it goes from here. Nowadays, it's hard to predict anything about the box office. We made a film which we thought would be liked by the audience. I am glad the audience ratio is increasing. These are tough times. We should be grateful for whatever attention the audience gives us".

Chandu Champion's total collection reached Rs 51 crores by the end of its eleventh day. Despite crossing the Rs 50 crores mark, its future performance remains uncertain as Deepika Padukone and Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD is set to release on June 27.

The movie’s initial struggle at the box office contrasts sharply with its later success driven by positive word-of-mouth reviews. The audience’s appreciation for both Kabir Khan’s direction and Kartik Aaryan’s performance played a crucial role in this turnaround.

As Chandu Champion continues to attract viewers, it will be interesting to observe how it competes with upcoming releases in its second week.
