Chandu Champion's Box Office Dips To Lowest On Day 5 Amid Positive Reviews

Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 5: Kartik Aaryan, known for his romantic roles, is making headlines with his latest release. Directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion marks Kartik's first collaboration with the acclaimed filmmaker. The film is a sports biographical drama based on India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. Kartik stars as the titular character, alongside Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Vijay Raaz in significant roles.

From its inspiring storyline to Kartik's remarkable transformation, Chandu Champion has been in the spotlight since its announcement. The film opened to positive reviews but had an average start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 4.75 crores. However, the sports drama saw a decent increase in collections over the opening weekend, crossing the Rs 20 crores mark.

Chandu Champion maintained a strong hold at the box office on its first Monday, benefiting from the Eid holiday. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 5 crores on day 4 (first Monday). Despite positive word-of-mouth, Chandu Champion experienced a drop in numbers on day 5 (first Tuesday), struggling to cross the Rs 4 crores mark. Early estimates suggest that the movie earned Rs 3.25 crores on day 5, bringing its total collection to Rs 29.75 crores.

Kabir Khan recently addressed the film's slow start in an interview with Times Now. He stated, "The slow start did throw us off balance. But luckily, the word-of-mouth was positive. Let's see how it goes from here. Nowadays, it's hard to predict anything about the box office. We made a film which we thought would be liked by the audience. I am glad the audience ratio is increasing. These are tough times. We should be grateful for whatever attention the audience gives us."
