Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion Eyes Strong Box Office Debut
Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Kartik Aaryan is making headlines today with the release of his much-anticipated movie, Chandu Champion. Directed by Kabir Khan, this sports biopic is based on India's first Paralympics gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. Kartik's transformation for the film has garnered significant attention, making it one of the year's most awaited releases.
Also featuring Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Vijay Raaz in key roles, Chandu Champion marks Kartik's first collaboration with renowned director Kabir Khan. Speculations about the film's box office performance have been rife. The makers have gone to great lengths to keep the audience intrigued, even making Chandu Champion the first movie to open advance booking at Burj Khalifa. According to Sacnilk, the film has already earned Rs 1.18 crores from advance bookings.

Reports suggest that Chandu Champion is expected to have a strong start at the box office. In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert and producer Girish Johar stated, "The trailer has been received quite well and box office has been dry for a couple of weeks because of cricket matches and elections. We are hoping for things to get better from Friday onwards with Chandu Champion. It's a Kabir Khan film, Kartik is also consolidating his position and growing with each passing film. All these are positive signs. It's a non-holiday release but the traction is good; it's going to be a wide release. The film will open anywhere around the double-digit mark, likely to be around Rs 10 crores."
If these predictions hold true, Chandu Champion could become Kartik's fourth highest opener after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Love Aaj Kal 2, and Satyaprem Ki Katha. Additionally, it may join the list of top five highest openers of 2024 alongside films like Fighter, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Shaitaan.
Discussing his role in Chandu Champion, Kartik told Variety, "A lot of preparation was required for the skill sets and body transformation. One needs a lot of patience and mental balance. I had never been in this situation before; I was doing romantic or comedy films. But this was the first time I was doing something like this where I had to do a war sequence and wrestling. I was intrigued by Murlikant Petkar's thought process. Kabir-sir always told me that it's all about willpower. That's also the one line of the film - the man who refused to surrender in any circumstances."
