Kareena Kapoor's Candid Take On Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Kareena Kapoor's Candid Remarks on Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Kareena Kapoor is known for her forthright nature, often making headlines with her candid remarks. As a young actress, she was outspoken, which frequently drew media attention. One notable instance involves her public disagreement with acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The tension between Kapoor and Bhansali is well-known among Bollywood enthusiasts. Kapoor was replaced in several of Bhansali's films, including "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam," "Devdas," and "Ramleela." In an old interview with Indya.com, Kapoor did not hold back her opinions about the director.
Early in her career, Kapoor was asked if she felt upset about being replaced by Aishwarya Rai as 'Paro' in "Devdas." She responded, "Sanjay Bhansali is a confused director. He is a person who does not stand by his word. He doesn't have any morals and principles in life."
Kapoor added, "Tomorrow, even if he is the next Raj Kapoor or Guru Dutt, and my films don't do well and if I'm a flop actress, I will still not ever work with him. I don't react this way just because I'm not doing his movie, but because he has no ethics."
She further revealed that Bhansali had tried to persuade her to take roles in "Khamoshi" and "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam." She said, "His movie never inspired me because I'm not cut out to play Paro from any angle. I'm too young to play that role."
Kapoor continued, "Even earlier, for 'Khamoshi,' he had pressurised me to do that film. Then he ran behind me for seven months to do 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.' He sent Salman to my sister to ask me to do his film. I was just not interested; for me, he was a nobody."
Regarding "Devdas," she stated, "Even for 'Devdas,' he was the one who insisted that I was the ideal actress for his film. Sanjay had signed me for the film, after which I did the photo-shoot for him. And then he tells me that he is taking someone else."
Reflecting on her feelings after being replaced, Kapoor said, "I was upset initially, but the day after I was told I'm not in Sanjay's film, both Karan Johar and Subhash Ghai called me to do their films. And Sanjay is not a patch on both these filmmakers."
On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor was last seen in "Crew." She is currently preparing for upcoming projects including "Buckingham Murders," "Singham Again," and "Takht."
