A Twitter user accused the filmmaker of resorting to extreme measures for weight reduction. This discussion began when Maheep Kapoor mentioned people using Ozempic, a diabetes medication, for quick weight loss, leading to speculation about Johar's methods.

Karan Johar responded by sharing a screenshot from X, where a user commented on Maheep Kapoor's remarks about Ozempic misuse. The user hoped she would also address Johar's alleged involvement. In response, Johar questioned if Maheep was referring to him in her comments. He wrote, "Oh lord!!! Being healthy and eating well and reinventing the wheel of your own nutrition! Aur Ozempic ko Mile credit ??? And @maheepkapoor did you mean me???"

Maheep Kapoor reacted to Karan's post with laughing emojis, which seemed to upset him further. He reshared her reaction and expressed his displeasure by stating, "You're laughing? I'm offended."

Ozempic is primarily used for treating type 2 diabetes but also aids in appetite control, making individuals feel fuller longer after meals. Although not officially approved for weight loss, some have reported losing around 6 kg over several months using it. This off-label use has caused shortages for diabetic patients who rely on the medication.
