Karan Johar attended the trailer launch of "Kill," a co-production project, on Wednesday evening. He concluded his comment with a sly smile.

Karan's mention of 'verbal' might be interpreted as a dig at Kangana's past verbal attacks against him on his show "Koffee With Karan" in 2017. Since then, Kangana has continued to criticise Karan for supporting nepotism and being intolerant towards industry outsiders.

A day after winning the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from Mandi Constituency, Kangana was traveling from Chandigarh airport when she was slapped by CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur. The officer alleged that Kangana provoked her regarding the farmer protests. Kangana later claimed the action was due to her recent remarks on Khalistan.

Following the incident, several Bollywood celebrities condemned the attack. Notable figures include Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Zoya Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Soni Razdan, Sonakshi Sinha, Anupam Kher, and Vishal Agnihotri.
