Kanguva Box Office Day 7: Suriya’s Film Earns Rs 12.77 Crores But Misses Rs 15 Crores Mark
The film "Kanguva," featuring Suriya, has become a significant topic of discussion this year. It showcases Suriya in dual roles and marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani. Bobby Deol plays the main antagonist, creating anticipation among fans for his confrontation with Suriya in this fantasy action drama.
Besides the lead actors, "Kanguva" includes performances by Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Karunas, K. S. Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Ravi Raghavendra in supporting roles. The film's trailer and ensemble cast have generated considerable excitement. Released in multiple languages—Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam—it received positive feedback from audiences and critics alike.

After a strong opening weekend at the box office, "Kanguva" experienced a decline in earnings on its first Monday. The movie earned Rs 70 lakhs on day five and Rs 85 lakhs on day six. According to Sacnilk reports, the collection dropped to Rs 67 lakhs on day seven (first Wednesday), bringing its total Hindi market earnings to Rs 12.77 crores in the first week. It did not reach the Rs 15 crore milestone.
"Kanguva" has often been compared to Rajinikanth's "Vettaiyan," released earlier this year. Despite these comparisons, "Kanguva" maintained a strong box office presence and surpassed "Vettaiyan," earning three times more on its first Wednesday. Notably, "Vettaiyan" had collected Rs 23 lakhs on that day.
