Kangana Ranaut Sells Her Pali Hill Bungalow For Rs 32 Crore Amid Ongoing Film Controversy

Kangana Ranaut's film "Emergency" was initially scheduled for release on September 6 but has been postponed. The movie is still awaiting certification from the censor board. It has faced boycotts and calls for bans, with several Sikh organisations accusing it of misrepresenting their community. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and Akhal Takht have demanded an immediate ban, claiming it attempts to "character assassinate" Sikhs.

Recently, Kangana Ranaut sold her Pali Hill bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai. According to a report by Zapkey, the actress sold the property for Rs 32 crore. She had purchased it for Rs 20.7 crore in September 2017 and took out a Rs 27 crore loan from ICICI Bank against it in December 2022. The bungalow served as the office for her production house, Manikarnika Films.

Kangana Sells Bungalow Amid Controversy

In September 2020, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished parts of Kangana's office in Bandra, citing illegal construction. The demolition was halted midway after a stay order from Bombay High Court on September 9. Kangana filed a case against BMC and demanded Rs 2 crores in compensation but dropped her demands in May 2023.

Last month, a YouTube channel called Code Estate shared a video indicating that a production house office was up for sale. Although the owner and production house were not named, visuals hinted it was Kangana's office. Social media users speculated in the comments that it was indeed her property.

The video's description revealed that the bungalow includes the land it stands on. The plot size is 285 square meters with a construction area of 3042 sq ft and an additional parking space of 500 sq ft. The building has two floors and was priced at Rs 40 crores.

This property had previously come under scrutiny by BMC in 2020. Parts of Kangana's office were demolished due to alleged illegal construction activities. However, the demolition stopped midway following a stay order from Bombay High Court issued on September 9.

All these developments coincide with Kangana awaiting her film's release amid controversies and legal battles over her property.
