Kangana Ranaut Thanks Audiences While Voicing Disappointment Over Emergency's Reception In Punjab
Kangana Ranaut recently shared a heartfelt video on social media, expressing her gratitude for the audience's support of her film "Emergency." Despite this appreciation, she voiced disappointment over the film's reception in Punjab and highlighted ongoing tensions affecting Indian communities abroad.
"On behalf of Zee Studio, Manikarnika Film, and all the members of Ease My Trip, I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart," Ranaut stated. "You all gave so much love and respect to our film. We don't even have words to express our gratitude."

Ranaut expressed concern about the film not being shown in Punjabi cinemas. She mentioned that her films usually perform well there but noted that "Emergency" wasn't allowed to release in Punjab. She linked this issue to unrest affecting Indian communities overseas, saying, "In the same way, some attacks are being carried out on people in Canada and Britain. Some small people, some small-minded people have set this country on fire. And you and I are burning in this fire."
The film "Emergency" has had a strong start at the box office, earning ₹12.26 crores over its first weekend. It showed steady growth with ₹3.11 crores on Friday, ₹4.28 crores on Saturday, and ₹4.87 crores on Sunday. With positive word-of-mouth and solid collections, it is expected to continue its successful run.
Kangana emphasized that the film embodies her personal beliefs about national unity. She urged viewers to judge for themselves whether the film connects or divides them: "Friends, my film, my thoughts, and my attitude towards the country are reflected in this film. You decide for yourself after watching this film. Does this film connect us, or does it break us?" She concluded with a call for unity and respect: "I will not say more. Jai Hind. Thank you."
