Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' Granted U/A Certificate By CBFC With Conditions
Emergency Gets U/A Certificate: Kangana Ranaut's film Emergency has been in the spotlight since its announcement due to various controversies. The film, which encountered numerous legal challenges following the trailer release, was submitted to the CBFC on July 8. After a two-month-long struggle, it received a U/A certificate with clearance for release, albeit with one condition.
The U/A certificate allows viewers of all ages, including minors, to watch the movie. However, the CBFC mandated three edits and required factual sources for historical quotes. This includes comments made by Winston Churchill and US President Richard Nixon about Indian women 'breeding like rabbits'.

The committee also instructed the filmmakers to alter a scene depicting a soldier hitting an infant's head and another showing three women being beheaded. Additionally, they were asked to provide all research sources, details, statistics, and archival footage related to 'Operation Bluestar'.
