Manikarnika Films announced on social media that the release has been postponed due to Ranaut's commitments to her Lok Sabha 2024 Elections campaign.
The actress-turned-politician is contesting in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from the Bharatiya Janata Party, focusing on the Mandi constituency. Her political responsibilities have taken precedence over the film's release, highlighting her dedication to both her country and party.

The film features an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in significant roles. Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, 'Emergency' is considered one of Ranaut's most ambitious projects to date. The film's music is composed by Sanchit Balhara with screenplay and dialogues by Ritesh Shah.
