The story of Kalki 2898 AD unfolds in the year 2898 AD within the city of Kasi, the last remaining urban centre in a barren world. Governed by a totalitarian elite under Supreme Yaskin's divine leadership, they rule from an inverted-pyramidal megastructure called the "Complex." The narrative spans millennia, from the Mahabharata events in 3102 BC to the arrival of Kalki in 2898 AD. Kalki is depicted as the tenth and final avatar of Vishnu.
