John Abraham's Absence In Divya Khosla's Savi Explained Amid Casting Rumors

Divya Khossla is preparing for the release of "Savi," which features Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Rane in leading roles. Directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar, the film has generated significant interest. In 2021, while promoting "Satyameva Jayate 2" with John Abraham, there were reports that Divya and John would collaborate on another project produced by Mukesh Bhatt. However, John's name was not associated with "Savi" when it was announced.

Filmibeat recently interviewed Divya and Abhinay, discussing the rumours about John's potential involvement in "Savi." When asked about these reports, Divya clarified, "I don't know how those reports came out. I think at that time 'Satyameva Jayate 2' was coming, so probably from somewhere that report came. But, it was nothing like that."

Abhinay added, "No, it might be some related to 'Satyameva Jayate 2.'" It appears that the rumours about John and Divya starring together in "Savi" were unfounded. However, it raises curiosity about which role John might have played if he had been part of the film—Harshvardhan's character or Anil Kapoor's role.

Discussing her experience working with Anil Kapoor, Divya shared, "I take a lot of pressure on my own, I am a perfectionist, so I don't need to take pressure from someone else. It was great working with him because he is giving his 1000%, I am giving my 1000%. Sometimes you click so well with an actor that it's magic, and with Anil sir I experienced that magic."

She added, "He is so passionate even at this age. He keeps mentioning his age 'main 68 ka hu', but his passion, commitment and sincerity towards work are impressive."

"Savi" is scheduled for release on 31 May 2024.
