The recent box office battle between "Jigra" and "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video" has captured the attention of moviegoers. Both films, starring Alia Bhatt and Rajkummar Rao respectively, premiered on 11th October. Despite generating some buzz, they received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. The opening weekend's box office results are now available, revealing how each film performed during its first three days in cinemas.
Directed by Vasan Bala, "Jigra" features Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in leading roles. The film tells the story of a sister's daring efforts to save her brother. However, it struggled to attract large audiences. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 4.5 crore on its opening day and Rs 6.5 crore on Saturday. Unfortunately, Sunday saw a decline in earnings, with the film collecting around Rs 5.65 crore, bringing its total to approximately Rs 16.75 crore over the weekend.

"Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video," directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and starring Rajkummar Rao alongside Triptii Dimri, also faced challenges at the box office. It opened with Rs 5.5 crore on its first day and saw a slight increase on Saturday with earnings of Rs 6.8 crore. However, like "Jigra," it experienced a drop on Sunday, collecting around Rs 6.25 crore. This brought its total collection to approximately Rs 18.65 crore over the first three days.

With higher overall collections during their debut weekend, it emerged as the stronger performer at the box office.
