Jigra Box Office Collection Prediction Day 8: Alia Bhatt's Film Faces Low Earnings Challenge

Alia Bhatt's latest film, 'Jigra,' directed by Vasan Bala, has not performed well at the box office. Released on 11th October, this Dharma Productions film also involves Eternal Sunshine Productions and Viacom18 Studios. Alia plays a brave sister trying to protect her brother, portrayed by Vedang Raina. Despite anticipation, the movie received mixed reviews and faced controversies over alleged favoritism and box office manipulation.

During its first week in theatres, 'Jigra' had a disappointing run. It earned Rs 4.5 crore on its opening day but saw a 40% increase in collections on Saturday. However, from Sunday onwards, the earnings began to decline. According to Sacnilk, by day seven, the film's earnings dropped further to Rs 1.21 crore (Hindi nett), bringing its total first-week collection to Rs 22.22 crore.

Jigra Box Office Collection Day 8 Update

The film is expected to continue facing challenges at the box office. On its second Friday (day eight), it is predicted to earn between Rs 1-2 crore. This projection suggests that 'Jigra' might struggle to maintain momentum in ticket sales.

Throughout her career spanning over a decade, Alia Bhatt has had several successful films crossing the 100-crore mark alongside some flops. Currently, 'Highway' holds the record as her lowest-grossing film with approximately Rs 30.61 crore in lifetime earnings. For 'Jigra' to surpass this figure and become her second-lowest grosser, it needs an additional Rs 8 crore.

The upcoming releases of 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' on 1st November 2024 will likely dominate screens, potentially affecting 'Jigra's' performance further.
