Alia Bhatt's latest film, 'Jigra,' directed by Vasan Bala, features her in a powerful role as an 'angry young woman.' Despite the anticipation, the film has not resonated well with audiences. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that 'Jigra' earned approximately Rs 4.55 crore (nett) on its first day. The film is produced by Dharma Productions, Eternal Sunshine Productions, and Viacom18. It tells the emotional story of a sister named Satya (played by Alia) who goes to great lengths to save her younger brother (played by Vedang). Manoj Pahwa also plays a significant role in the movie.

The Dussehra weekend could boost 'Jigra's' box office performance slightly on its second day. According to Sacnilk's latest report, the film earned around Rs 1.11 crore by 1:30 pm today. With this momentum, it is projected to earn between Rs 5-7 crore by the end of day two.

Sacnilk reports that Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri's film has collected about Rs 1.15 crore by 1:30 pm on its second day. After outperforming 'Jigra' on their shared release date, VVKWWV might continue to lead today as well. The final results for both films will reveal how they fare against each other.

As both films compete for audience attention during this festive period, their performances will be closely watched. While 'Jigra' aims to gain traction over the weekend, it remains uncertain if it can surpass its competitor at the box office.
