Jigra Box Office Collection Prediction Day 11: Alia Bhatt's Film Approaches Rs 30 Crores Amid Challenges
Alia Bhatt's film "Jigra," directed by Vasan Bala, has not performed well at the box office despite initial buzz. Released on October 11, it is one of her lowest-grossing films in a 12-year career. Produced by Dharma Productions, Eternal Sunshine Productions, and Viacom18 Studios, the movie faced controversies over fake box office numbers and plagiarism claims, which may have affected its performance.
The film features Alia Bhatt as Satya, who goes to great lengths to protect her brother Ankur, played by Vedang Raina. It received mixed reviews from both audiences and critics. On its opening day, "Jigra" earned approximately Rs 4.5 crore in Hindi.

After a slow start, "Jigra" saw a slight increase in earnings on Saturday but continued to decline during weekdays. According to Sacnilk, the film experienced an 18% growth on its second Sunday, collecting around Rs 2.02 crore. The total estimated nett collection for "Jigra" in Hindi reached about Rs 27.11 crore over 11 days.
The breakdown of earnings is as follows:
| Week 1 | Rs 22.24 cr |
| Day 8 (Friday) | ₹ 1.15 cr |
| Day 9 (Saturday) | ₹ 1.7 cr |
| Day 10 (Sunday) | ₹ 2.02 cr (Rough Data) |
| Total | Rs 27.11 CRORES! |
The film is expected to see another drop on its second Monday (day 11), with predictions suggesting it will earn between Rs 1-1.5 crore in Hindi today. This would bring it closer to reaching the Rs 30-crore mark.
"Jigra" aims to hit the Rs 30-crore milestone before major releases like Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again" and Kartik Aaryan's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" debut during Dusshera in 2024.
The film's journey at the box office highlights the challenges it faced amid controversies and competition from upcoming big releases.
