Jigra Box Office Collection Day 6: Alia Bhatt's Film Crosses Rs 21.10 Crores Amidst Low Collections

Jigra Box Office Collection Day 6: Alia Bhatt, known for her exceptional talent in Bollywood, has delivered numerous memorable performances over her decade-long career. Her latest project, Jigra, marks her first collaboration with acclaimed director Vasan Bala. This film, featuring Vedang Raina alongside Alia, is generating significant attention as her initial release of 2024.

Jigra, co-produced by Alia and Karan Johar, also features Manoj Pahwa, Jason Shah, Rahul Ravindran, and Harssh A. Singh. The film tells the story of a young girl named Satya Anand who embarks on a mission to rescue her brother Ankur from wrongful conviction abroad. The trailer's buzz translated into positive reviews from both audiences and critics, particularly praising Alia's performance.

Jigra Box Office: Alia Bhatt's Film Struggles

Despite the initial excitement, Jigra has struggled at the box office. It has become Alia's lowest-performing film to date. Previously, Shaandaar held this title with Rs 1.4 crores on its first Wednesday after release. Unfortunately, Jigra has not surpassed these numbers.

The movie faced competition from Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri's Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Despite the anticipation surrounding Jigra, it continues to trail behind this rival film in terms of box office earnings.

After a promising start during its opening weekend, Jigra experienced a significant decline in collections starting Monday. According to Sacnilk reports, the film earned Rs 1.65 crores on day 4 (Monday) and Rs 1.6 crores on day 5 (Tuesday). By day 6 (Wednesday), earnings dropped further to Rs 1.25 crores, bringing the total collection to Rs 21.10 crores.

Alia Bhatt's collaboration with Vasan Bala in Jigra was highly anticipated due to her impressive track record and the film's intriguing storyline about sibling love and sacrifice. However, despite positive reviews highlighting Alia's performance, the film has not met box office expectations so far.

The ongoing competition with Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video adds another layer of challenge for Jigra at the box office. As both films continue their run in theatres, it remains to be seen how they will fare in the coming days.
