Jigra Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Will Alia Bhatt Face Her Lowest Opener Since COVID-19?
Alia Bhatt is set to make her 2024 debut with the action thriller "Jigra," directed by Vasan Bala. This film, featuring Vedang Raina, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Manoj Pahwa, is highly anticipated. Co-produced by Alia and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, "Jigra" promises a gripping storyline. Alia's last appearance was in her Hollywood debut, "Heart of Stone."
The plot of "Jigra" centres on a young girl determined to rescue her brother from a foreign prison. Alia portrays a character unlike any she has played before. The trailer has generated significant excitement, and early reviews praise her performance. Speculation surrounds the film's opening day earnings.

In an interview with Filmibeat, Girish Johar, a producer and film business expert, shared insights on "Jigra." He said, "Jigra is a Dharma production and is backed by Vasan Bala. Vasan is a very intelligent filmmaker. The film is targeting the premium cities, the premium markets, the metro cities. It's a sister helping her brother out and it's a family bonding film. It's drama, thriller, action but in an intelligent space. It's targeting tier one and the metro cities. I would be happy if the film opens anywhere Rs 5-6cr plus to start with. The evening shows and the word of mouth will definitely make a difference. If it is appreciated, it can go up also from the evening onwards."
If predictions hold true, "Jigra" might earn between Rs 5-6 crores on its first day. This would mark Alia Bhatt's lowest opening since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Her previous films like "Gangubai Kathiawadi," "RRR," "Brahmastra," and "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani" all had strong starts at the box office.
The coming days will reveal whether "Jigra" can gain momentum at the box office despite its modest initial projections.
