In an interview with News18, Diljit shared an interesting anecdote about initially wanting to reject Jatt & Juliet 3. He recalled having issues with Darshan Singh Grewal during the making of Jatt and Juliet 1. "When Jatt and Juliet 1 was being made, Darshan Singh Grewal - the producer of Jatt and Juliet - we had problems with each other. So when the movie offer came to me, I wanted to go and reject the film in person," he said.

Diljit continued by describing how he went to Grewal's office intending to refuse the offer due to their past conflicts. However, upon arrival, Grewal handed him a blank cheque in a dramatic gesture and said, "Paaji, fill the amount; I want to do a film with you." This unexpected move changed Diljit's mind about rejecting the project.
