Janhvi Kapoor Criticises Western Film Obsession

On Instagram, Janhvi Kapoor responded to a post by Tatva about the clash between Interstellar and Pushpa 2. She questioned why Indian audiences idolise Western films while undervaluing their own cinema. "Pushpa 2 is also cinema," she stated, urging people to appreciate Indian films' unique qualities. Her remarks drew mixed reactions from fans, with some criticising her understanding of the importance of IMAX releases for filmmakers like Christopher Nolan.

Pushpa 2 has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. On its opening day, it collected an impressive Rs. 164.25 Crore in India. According to Sacnilk's evening report, the film earned around Rs. 50 Crore and is projected to make between Rs. 70-80 Crore on its second day. These figures underscore the film's popularity and commercial success.
