Discussing the significance of Yoga in her life, Fernandez states, "India has blessed the world with the practice of Yoga. For me, Yoga is an everyday ritual. The reason I use the word ritual and not routine is because this is the most sacred part of my day where I experience balance, tranquility and energy to carry on the rest of my day. I rotate weekly with other forms of fitness like dance, weights, reformer Pilates & gymnastics but yoga is an everyday practice."

Fernandez also shares how Yoga has positively impacted her mental wellbeing. She recounts a personal experience, "A few years ago, a close family member that lives abroad, was hospitalised with serious illness and until I could get there, I practiced yoga to still my mind and re-centre my thoughts from worry to sending healing energy."
