Isha Talwar To Star In Punjabi Film Shahkot Post Mirzapur 3 Success

Mirzapur 3's Isha Talwar On New Project: The highly anticipated Mirzapur 3, featuring Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi, premiered last month. While the audience had mixed feelings about the third season of the gangster drama, they praised several performances. Among these was Isha Talwar, whose portrayal of Madhuri Yadav Tripathi, also known as Madhuri Bhabhi, earned her significant acclaim and made her an overnight sensation.

Isha's character in Mirzapur 3 was a pivotal one, and her performance left a lasting impression, making her one of the most talked-about stars from the series. Now, Isha is back in the spotlight with her next venture, which marks her big screen debut. She is set to enter the Punjabi film industry with the upcoming movie Shahkot, where she stars opposite renowned Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa.

Discussing her new project with ABP Sanjha, Isha expressed excitement about moving away from violent roles on OTT platforms to a sweet romantic film like Shahkot. "I was very clear ki agar Punjabi film karungi to family film karungi, OTT pe itna maar dhaad hai. I said achi family film jo meri naani bhi dekh sake meri mummy bhi dekh sake, sab saath baith kar dekh sake. This is a very sweet romantic musical. Kashmir me sundar sundar gaane shoot kiye. Mujhe sweet romantic Punjabi film chahiye," Isha shared.

The actress also opened up about her role in Shahkot, stating that it offered something new for her to explore. "Character bahut interesting hai. Thodi bachkani ladki hai. So wo mere liye explore karna alag aapko kuch dekhne ko milega kyunki maine abhi tak aisa kuch nahi kiya hai," she added.

Shahkot is directed by Rajiv Dhingra and produced by Anirudh Mohta. The film is slated for release on October 4.
