Fashion 2 Rumours Swirl: Priyanka Chopra To Star, Fans Query Kangana's Role
Fashion 2: Fashion, a bold Bollywood film, revealed the dark side of the fashion industry. It was both critically acclaimed and a box office success. Now, after nearly 16 years, rumours suggest that director Madhur Bhandarkar is planning a sequel with Priyanka Chopra. Fans are curious if Kangana Ranaut will be part of it.
Speculation about Fashion 2 began when Madhur Bhandarkar shared a photo with Priyanka Chopra at her Los Angeles home. In the picture, Madhur wore a striped shirt while Priyanka donned a floral printed black shirt. Madhur hinted at an exciting project by writing, "It was a delight to meet & engage in a fascinating discussion with the talented @priyankachopra at her exquisite residence in #LosAngeles."

The viral photo led fans to speculate about Fashion's sequel. Comments like "Where is the casting happening?" and "Please once again, audience need that kind of movie again," flooded social media. Another fan expressed excitement by saying, "Priyanka has to be on the new fashion movie."
However, fans also questioned if Kangana Ranaut would be part of Fashion's sequel. One user commented, "Are you making fashion without Kangana? Please don't do that... Sonali was always the main highlight of fashion." Another added, "Sonali Guzral & Meghna Mathur - The Movie Magical." A fan requested, "Can we expect Kangana Ranaut X Priyanka Chopra in fashion? Please make it happen."
Madhur Bhandarkar recently shared his thoughts on making Fashion's sequel during an interview with Bollywood Hungama. He said, "I feel Fashion has all the potential for a sequel. Today, the world of fashion has changed. As a filmmaker, I feel I have a lot of material and hence, it can be turned into a show spanning a couple of seasons."
Bhandarkar continued by discussing how social media has transformed the fashion industry. He noted that supermodels are no longer as prominent as they once were and that Bollywood celebrities have taken their place as showstoppers.
"There was a time when we used to hear of supermodels," he said. "But in the last few years, can you recall the name of any supermodel? Bollywood celebs have taken over and have become showstoppers."
Bhandarkar aims to explore these changes in Fashion's sequel by asking where supermodels have gone and highlighting how anyone from small towns can now become models or influencers.
The buzz around Fashion's sequel continues to grow as fans eagerly await more details about its cast and storyline.
