Saudi Industry Minister Seeks AI Collaboration With East Asian Tech Giants
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, recently visited Singapore, China, and Hong Kong. His mission was to strengthen partnerships in artificial intelligence (AI) with leading East Asian companies. This aligns with the Kingdom's goal of leveraging technology and innovation in its industrial sector.
During his visit to Singapore, Alkhorayef engaged with key organizations pivotal to industrial infrastructure, AI, technology, and innovation. In China, the minister met with industry leaders renowned for their technological advancements and economic growth. He visited the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETD Zone), a crucial hub for high-tech industries. Meetings with senior officials from various Chinese companies focused on exploring joint investment opportunities in advanced manufacturing and intelligent solutions from the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Alkhorayef's visit to Hong Kong included meetings with representatives from companies specializing in automation, smart technologies, and industrial infrastructure. These discussions aimed at fostering collaboration in these critical areas.
