Unbeknownst to the passengers and crew, they were about to endure a harrowing seven-day ordeal of terror. Netflix has announced that IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack will premiere on August 29.

Following the success of Monica, O My Darling and the drama series Scoop, Netflix collaborates again with Matchbox Shots and Benaras Mediaworks. This time, they bring the gripping story of IC 814's hijacking. Anubhav Sinha, known for his impactful storytelling, directs this series, marking his streaming debut. The cast includes industry veterans like Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur, alongside Vijay Varma, Arvind Swamy, Dia Mirza, Patralekhaa, Amrita Puri, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, and Anupam Tripathi from Squid Game.
