Karan Johar Announces Ibrahim Ali Khan's Upcoming Bollywood Debut With Dharma Productions
Filmmaker Karan Johar recently announced that Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, will soon debut in acting. This project will be under Dharma Productions. Johar shared his enthusiasm on Instagram, highlighting his long-standing connection with the family. "I know this family for the heart they have. Films are in their blood, their genes and their passion," he stated.
Johar refrained from revealing specifics about Ibrahim's first film, such as its title or cast details. Previously, Ibrahim worked as an assistant on Johar's 2023 film "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani." The filmmaker reminisced about meeting Amrita Singh when he was 12 years old. He fondly recalled her grace and energy during her work on "Duniya" with his father.

Amrita Singh also appeared in Dharma Productions' 2014 movie "2 States," featuring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Johar shared a memorable experience of having a warm Chinese dinner with Amrita after their first meeting, followed by watching a James Bond film together. He expressed how she treated him like family from the start.
Karan Johar also recounted his initial encounter with Saif Ali Khan at producer Anand Mahendru's office. They later collaborated on films like "Kal Ho Naa Ho" (2003) and "Kurbaan" (2009). Johar described Saif as young, suave, charming, and effortless, much like Ibrahim when they first met.
The filmmaker has known the family for four decades and worked with them in various capacities. His collaborations include projects like "Duniya" and "2 States" with Amrita Singh, as well as "Kal Ho Naa Ho" and "Kurbaan" with Saif Ali Khan. Additionally, he worked on "Simmba" with Sara Ali Khan.
Johar expressed excitement about introducing new talent to the world through Ibrahim Ali Khan. He encouraged audiences to stay tuned for Ibrahim's journey into acting. The filmmaker emphasised the family's deep-rooted passion for cinema and how it continues through the next generation.
