Hrithik Roshan Reflects On His Childhood Experience With Rajinikanth In Bhagwaan Dada
Hrithik Roshan, a prominent Bollywood actor, recently reminisced about his childhood experience working with Rajinikanth, whom he described as "the greatest legend of all time." This collaboration took place during the filming of the 1986 movie "Bhagwaan Dada." Before Hrithik's successful debut in "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai" in 2000, he appeared as a child artist in several films like "Aasha" and "Aap Ke Deewane."
"Bhagwaan Dada," directed by Hrithik's maternal grandfather J Om Prakash, was a family drama featuring Rajinikanth as the lead character. The cast also included Hrithik's father, Rakesh Roshan, and the late actress Sridevi. During a trailer launch event for Netflix's upcoming docu-series "The Roshans," Hrithik shared memories of his early acting days. He recalled being an unaware young boy on set with Rajinikanth, whom he affectionately called "Rajni uncle."

Hrithik expressed how different his approach would be if given another chance to work with Rajinikanth today. He acknowledged that he would now understand the significance of sharing screen space with such an icon. He fondly remembered Rajinikanth's gentle and supportive nature on set. Whenever Hrithik made mistakes during filming, Rajinikanth would take the blame to prevent him from feeling self-conscious.
The upcoming documentary series "The Roshans" will delve into the legacy of Hrithik's film family. It will highlight the contributions of his uncle Rajesh Roshan and his late grandfather Roshan, a renowned music composer. The series promises to offer an intimate look into three generations of dedication and passion for Hindi cinema. Viewers can watch it on Netflix starting January 17.
Hrithik shared a touching anecdote about how Rajinikanth always took responsibility for any errors during filming. He said, "Whenever I messed up a shot, my grandfather used to cut the shot. And Rajni sir used to take the blame, saying, 'Sorry, sorry, sorry. My fault.' But it was my fault." This gesture ensured that Hrithik felt comfortable and not self-conscious while acting.
