Richard Linklater's 'Hit Man' To Premiere On Netflix This June

Hit Man OTT Release: "Hit Man" is a romantic black comedy film of American origin, directed and produced by Richard Linklater. Linklater collaborated with Glen Powell in co-writing the screenplay, which draws inspiration from Skip Hollandsworth's 2001 Texas Monthly magazine article bearing the same title.

An individual working part-time at the New Orleans Police Department unexpectedly finds themselves thrust into an undercover assignment, masquerading as a trustworthy hitman with the aim of apprehending those seeking to employ his services. Surprisingly, he discovers a knack for convincingly adopting various personas, complete with humorous costumes, accents, and behaviours, making him remarkably effective in his role. Amidst his endeavours, he encounters a woman in distress who seeks his assistance in eliminating her abusive spouse. However, he counsels her to seek alternative solutions for her predicament. As their paths intertwine, they find themselves drawn into a romantic relationship.

"Hit Man" features an exciting cast lineup, with Glen Powell portraying the role of Gary Johnson, a college professor and tech guy turned undercover mole. Adria Arjona stars as Maddy Masters, Gary's love interest.
