Himesh Reshammiya's Father Vipin Reshammiya Passes Away; Funeral Scheduled For Today

The Bollywood community is mourning the loss of Vipin Reshammiya, father of well-known singer and composer Himesh Reshammiya. Vipin, a respected music director, passed away at 87. He died on September 18 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. His contributions to the music industry were significant, leaving a lasting legacy.

Vipin had been dealing with breathing difficulties and other age-related health issues before his hospitalisation. Vanita Thapar, a close friend of Himesh, confirmed the sad news to ETimes. She stated, "Yes, he had a breathing problem. He was in Kokilaben and passed away today at 8.30 pm. I am a family friend, more like family. I used to call him papa since the time he was making TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed his footsteps. We share a very close bond".

Himesh Reshammiya's father will be honoured with his last rites today, September 19, at Juhu crematorium. The ceremony will allow family and friends to pay their respects to the esteemed music director.

On Ganesh Chaturthi, Himesh released his first bhajan titled Ganpati Ganjaanann. This project marked his initial collaboration with his father Vipin Reshammiya, showcasing their shared musical talents.

The passing of Vipin Reshammiya has left a void in the Bollywood music scene. His influence on both television and film music remains impactful through his work and through Himesh's career path.
