Helena Luke, a well-known actress, has passed away in the USA. The news of her death on November 3 was shared by dancer and actress Kalpana Iyer on social media. Helena was reportedly 68 years old when she died from an undisclosed illness.
Helena Luke gained fame for her role in the 1985 film 'Mard' alongside Amitabh Bachchan. She was also known as the first wife of actor-politician Mithun Chakraborty, who won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Their marriage in 1979 lasted only four months before they divorced.

In a past interview with Stardust Magazine, Helena spoke about her brief marriage to Mithun. "I only wish it hadn't happened, he was the one who brainwashed me into believing that he was the man for me, unfortunately, he succeeded. I'll never go back to him even if he is the richest guy around. I haven't even asked for alimony, it was a nightmare, and it's over," she said according to The Indian Express.
Helena Luke's film career included roles in movies like 'Do Gulaab' (1983), 'Aao Pyaar Karen' (1983), and 'Bhai Aakhir Bhai Hota Hai' (1982). Her father was Turkish, while her mother was an Anglo-Indian Christian, as noted by IMDb.
After leaving the film industry, Helena worked as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines. She had settled in New York, where she eventually passed away.
