Guneet shared that he has received an amazing response for his role in Bad Newz. He mentioned that people who know him have said, "you are not even 1% like Harman." Guneet described his co-stars as wonderful and kind. He was the youngest on set and felt very comfortable with them. He mentioned that Vicky Kaushal is like a big brother to him. They all treated him like family, chilling, partying, and even going to the gym together.

Guneet's interest in acting began in school where he wrote rap songs and did theatre. He also admires Rajkummar Rao and wishes to do a comedy film with Varun Dhawan. Among directors, he looks up to Rajkumar Hirani, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Anurag Basu, and Imtiaz Ali.
