Jhamkudi's Box Office Collection Week 1: A Surprising Success Story

Jhamkudi Box Office Collection: Jhamkudi has emerged as one of the most celebrated horror movies in recent times, resulting in a spectacular first week at the box office. Jhamkudi managed to exceed its week 1 collection in its second week. Following the latest trend, the movie is expected to cross Rs. 10+ crores and potentially Rs. 15+ crores nett. This sets a record as no Gujarati movie has surpassed these numbers since 3 Ekka was released in August 2023.

Breaking down the domestic collection, Jhamkudi earned Rs. 70 lakhs on day one and day two, and Rs. 1.30 crore on day three. The collections for day four and five stood at Rs. 65 lakhs each, while day six and seven saw earnings of Rs. 73 lakhs and Rs. 72 lakhs respectively. The total nett figure stands at Rs. 5.50 crores domestically by day seven.

The horror-comedy stars Manasi Parekh and Viraj Ghelani and has been running successfully in cities like Mumbai.

The plot revolves around a Gujarati village cursed by an evil witch named Jhamkudi. While the rest of Gujarat celebrates garba, the villagers are forbidden from participating due to the curse. However, when the rule is broken, the haunting begins anew.

The story becomes intriguing when Bablo, a real estate agent, and Kumud, an NRI heir of a royal family, attempt to face the witch's wrath. The question remains: will they be able to tackle it?
