Govinda's Daughter Tina Ahuja Criticised For Dismissing Period Pain As Psychological Issue

Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, and their daughter, Tina Ahuja, are known for their candidness. However, this trait recently led to controversy. During an interview with Hauterrfly, they discussed period cramps. Tina's remarks about the pain being a "psychological problem" sparked criticism. Many accused them of insensitivity, leading to significant backlash online.

In the interview, Tina was asked about her views on period pain. She responded in Hindi, suggesting that discussions around cramps might psychologically affect those who don't experience them. Her mother, Sunita, agreed with her statement. Tina further mentioned that many women from Punjab or smaller cities don't even notice menopause.

Tina Ahuja Criticised for Period Pain Remarks

Tina described her body as "desi," claiming she never experienced back pain or period issues. She advised girls to consume ghee and maintain a proper diet and sleep routine to avoid such problems. This advice did not sit well with many people online.

A Reddit thread titled "This is actually sad to watch" criticized both Sunita and Tina for their comments. One user speculated that Tina might never have experienced periods herself. Another remarked that some girls are fortunate not to have cramps and fail to understand others' pain.

Another user sarcastically suggested that perhaps Govinda had banned his daughter from discussing cramps, implying her denial of the issue. The trolling continued as users expressed disbelief over Tina's statements.

Despite the backlash, Sunita and Tina stressed the importance of a healthy diet for managing health issues. They recommended consulting a dietitian for tailored advice. Additionally, Tina revealed that Govinda has shown concern about her weight and encouraged her to work on reducing it.
